Three Nepalis working in Kuwait have been found dead. All three bodies found in two separate locations in Kuwait have been confirmed to be Nepali. However, the Nepali Embassy in Kuwait has stated that an investigation is underway into the cause of death. The Arab Times, a Kuwaiti daily, reported that two migrant workers from Asian countries died on the roof of the Khaitan building in Kuwait.

The newspaper has not yet released full details of the workers who died. Initial reports suggest that two of the deaths were caused by possible consumption of toxic alcohol, the Arab Times reported, citing a security source investigating the incident.

“According to the forensic report of the bodies of the two people found on the roof of the house, there were no signs of any physical assault or violence on the bodies,” the news report said.

They are searching for sources and individuals supplying illegal and poisonous alcohol and substances.  According to experts, consuming unregulated or improperly produced alcohol can seriously affect breathing, heart rate, and body temperature, leading to the deaths of many workers due to its consumption and the extreme heat of the Gulf.  Similarly, one of the bodies found on a rooftop in Kuwait is said to be that of Bikash Karki from Birtemode. Another body has also been found, the Arab Times writes.

Karki, the developer’s father, said that Karki was working at ETC Company in Kuwait through Omega International Manpower Company in Kathmandu a year and a half ago in the course of foreign employment. www.nepalpress.com
